description:
Flash is a versatile program. On a basic level it can be
used to draw vector images. On a higher level it can be used to create video
and animation. Above that it can be programmed to be interactive from the
simplicity of a website to the complexity of a video game or web application.
For this project you will be concentrating on the drawing aspect of Flash. This
will help get you accustomed to the basic tools of flash (which are very
necessary for advanced flash programming).
theory:
Flash is a vector based program. This means that images are
created through mathematical calculations based on a series of points. Lines
connect the points and fills, fill a set of closed lines to create solid 2d
shapes. This is a very digital concept at its essence and is a core aspect of
digital art. These simple points, line and fills used in combination with each
other can be used to create images of the real world that can look
photorealistic.
what to do:
You will consider the idea of the word ÔLifeÕ and create/manipulate
6 images to reflect your thoughts.
whats due:
-6 Vector images 640 x 400 pxl in size.
-Save your files as both 1280x800 JPGs and 640x400 SWFs
-Label your files with your First and Last name followed by
a Ô-Ô and the number of the image. Ex. Joevonstengel-1.swf
-Put the images in a folder labeled with your First and Last
name and hand the folder in to me on your USB Thumbdrive
