| HDVTV is Hartwick Colleges virtual television station. The site was created by the Digital Art department at the Hartwick School of Art in 2008. This system utilizes RSS feeds distributed by the website Youtube.com from Hartwick Digital's account. We currently have 8 channels, 4 devoted to the digital arts, and one each for Hartwick cultural events, Hartwick sports, Hartwick Professors and Hartwick Lampoon. Any member of the Hartwick community can contribute to a HDVTV channel by emailing us a link to their video on youtube. Also if you are a class, professor or group, you can request to have your own channel on HDVTV (it is a lot easier then you think). The HDVTV website is meant to give the Hartwick community a way to easily share information with each other through the use of video. Digital video has become very accessible over the past few year this point most digital cameras (and even some cellphones) have the ability to shoot digital video. Consider the possibility of a HDVTV channel as resource for a class or as a way distribute final products/research. This virtual station also allows people outside our community to experience the many interesting things that happen on our campus.
